Pets (2003-04-07 by www.immo7.com)
One of the most frequent questions is what to do with the
pets? Obviously take them with you, but how is one major concern for travellers.
When you travel with your Cat or Dog in a foreign country, you have
to be sure to know all the entry permission laws of the country you are visiting
or moving to. Lots of countries requiere at the borders or even inside the country
the health certificate of the pets to allow entrance. For Spain
the requirements are(*): Health Certificate (max. 14 days old).
Vaccination card record of the vaccinations (min. 30 days before, max. 12 months
old). An electronic microchip (or in some cases for the first 8 years a
Tattoo). Young pets may need no vaccination, and in most cases can
travel without it. In any case it’s neccesary to get the most actual information
at the vet, consulate or local authorities with enough time in advance before
travelling. Once in the Country we recommend to take your pet to
the vet and register it there. The vet will inform you best to know when, if neccesary,
your pet needs vaccination. (*) We take no responsabability
for changes in the data. Please check with your local authorities or veterinary.
