Treatment on the Canary Islands (2003-05-07 by www.immo7.com)
A totally different way to recycle used water saving costs and helping
the environment care. This would be a great advance and is almost impossible but
the truth is that this does exist and it is not so expensive. Although the water
result of this system should not be used for drinking the water is good for home
(washing, bathroom) or for gardens and agriculture. Most of the bad minerals and
toxics (over 99%) are eliminated and over 97% of the nitrogen is also eliminated.
Since several years ago the company JOBA S.L. installs and maintains
ecological water treatment plants for clarifying and purifying the water for its
reusability. The process is very simple and modular. There are 3
main steps involved which are: 1. A first cleaning filter to separate
the biggest dirt particles using a mechanical-biological mixture solution for
solid waste separation. One of the advantages of this system is it’s long lasting
life and that the remaining solid waste can be used as compost if needed.
2. After this the next step is to conduct the water to a underground natural filter
which is covered by reeds adapting the whole installation to the environment making
it unnoticed. All the plants can be almost 100% freely adaptaed to different layouts,
designs and terrains to suit every situation. The life of these filters is usually
over 20 years. 3. The container or deposit is where the water is stored
for its use. From this container the clear, fresh water can be used for washing
and bathing as per european levels which quality certification tests have been
outstandingly passed. This system has several applications as: Houses,
Restaurants, Hotels, Rural Houses, Swimming Pools, Ponds, Industrial sewage water
and more. For more information you can contact company JOBA S.L.: Mr. Josef
