The climate here is set by the Canarian current and the northeast trade winds and is therefore mild with average temperatures of 19 - 23 C° at the coast with a constantly blowing wind. The island is famous for its 'bruma', trade wind fog that 'swallows' whole villages in the higher regions and makes them look ghost like.
