The neighbourhood of Charco

bungalows of Charco Natural are part of Charco del Palo, a quiet naturist resort
near Mala on the Northeast coast of Lanzarote and far from the mass tourism. It
is an open naturist zone on the Atlantic Ocean, were everyone can walk around
the way he/she likes. There are no clothing regulations, except for shops and
restaurants.
Charco del Palo has several holiday
apartment complexes, but the greatest part consists of private, roomy residences
and bungalows. Many Germans form the regular inhabitants, but there also live
people of the Canaries, Spain, Austria and Switzerland. Shops
and RestaurantsA small supermarket, hairdresser
and boutique are easily be reached by foot. There are more shopping possibilities
in Guatiza (at 4 km) and in the fishing village Arrieta (at 6 km). In Charco del
Palo you have the choice between four bars / restaurants. Regularly they organize
grill parties and life music evenings. And, anyone who prefers more entertainment
in the evenings may visit the tourist resort Costa Teguise (at 12 km). In the
shops and restaurants of Charco del Palo they understand English. Walking,
Swimming and DivingVolcanic cliffs with footpaths
and many small beaches form the coast. A natural pool and a beautiful bay make
swimming very attractive. Diving and snorkel fans will meet here excellent conditions.
The area is not very suitable for bad walkers.
